Special: We need TENORS!!
We've always had a splendid
Tenor section, both in quantity and quality - not to mention personal beauty
(see right). BUT, a few of our longer-serving members are stepping aside,
allegedly to open the way for new blood, but really because they are retiring.
This is YOUR Chance! If you are (or think you might be) a Tenor, and you
think you are lovely enough to fit in our line-up of exquisites, then come
along! Every Wednesday at 7:30 pm, starting September 8th, at Durham
Johnston School (see details below). We have an excellent
programme for you, so don't hesitate! |
Join, Join, Join! (even if you are NOT a tenor...)
New members are always extremely welcome. We're a very friendly bunch, so
you'll meet plenty of new friends over the tea break to chat to, as well as at
the annual dinner and other social events. The termly raffle has a HUGE
range of donated prizes, and raises considerable funds.

2006. This featured Will Todd's Gala and Gloria, about the miners and
people of Durham, praising God.

To join, you can email the Membership
Secretary - or just come along to a
rehearsal, and see if you like
us! There's no audition, and all prospective members can try the Choral
society for up to four weeks, to see if it's for them (and, indeed, them for
us). After that there is an annual subscription, with concessions
available.
We rehearse on Wednesday evenings, 7.30 - 9.45pm, in Durham
Johnston School, Crossgate Moor, Durham (Maps are available from
streetmap.co.uk).
