[Testimonial from a past
Member]
I have had a wonderful 18
years as a member of the choir - it has been a real joy to sing such a wide
repertoire with you - thank you for that and thank you to all my fellow
choir members who have been so kind and supportive in recent years. Good
luck and keep up the good work. |

Concert Dress
We are aiming to achieve a harmonious appearance
throughout each section
-
Tenors & Basses: black dinner jacket and trousers with white shirt and black
bow tie, black socks with black shoes.
-
Sopranos & Altos: long sleeved white blouse
or shirt, with either a long black
skirt or formal black trousers or a medium length black skirt worn over black
tights. Shoes should be black. We are aiming for an effect of white to
the waist, and black thereafter.
-
Ladies singing Tenor are requested to wear a black jacket
in addition to the concert dress of Sopranos & Altos.
-
Gentlemen singing Counter-Tenor
are requested to leave off the jacket worn by Tenors & Basses
-
The cathedral can be very cold - especially in January- so
appropriately coloured, warm, thermal underwear is recommended!
-
Music scores should be covered in matt black paper or put in
a black book folder - the Society has some SPLENDID ones for sale.
-
Please, no plastic bottles on stage during performances.
